These pictures were taken June 21rd 2008 in Burgaw North Carolina during the yearly joyful event "The 5th Annual North Carolina Blueberry Festival." EXIT Realty led by its realtors in Burgaw, organized a booth to give back to the community and share in its yearly celebration. Why Blueberries?: "The Blueberry Festival celebrates the historical, economic, and cultural significance of blueberries in the southeastern region of North Carolina. The first cultivated blueberry production in North Carolina began in the Pender County area in the 1930s. Currently, Pender County ranks second in blueberry production for the state.
